Prospect of the Day: Tyler Efiert TE Norte Dame

facebooktwitterreddit

Today’s prospect of the day is red-shirt sophomore Tyler Eifert from Norte Dame. Eifert is a talented Tight end who has a shot at being the first TE drafted in the 2013 N.F.L. draft. In the 2011 College Football season he had 63 receptions for 803 yards and 5 touchdowns. Eifert has really good length at 6’6 249 pounds. Eifert moves smoothly in the field and has big soft hands. Eifert is a two way tight end that is difficult to find in today’s N.F.L.

Eifert does a great job creating space in his routes and even lines up in the slot for Norte Dame. His strengths are really his blocking ability and his terrific hands and length. What Eifert doesn’t do as well as a Jimmy Graham type player is run. He has average speed. Still, Eifert is  a player to watch for the 2012 College Football Season as he looks to lock up a first round grade.
