NFL Draft Musings: Inside Linebacker

Recently, I did a break down for Jordan Zumwalt and I am a big fan of what he brings to the table.  The 231lb weight at the Reese’s Senior Bowl was a little alarming but he will gain weight and continue to get stronger.  What cannot be taken away from his was the energy he brought to practice.  He was extremely loud and loud enough that he was audible from the stands in Mobile.  The only person more pumped up about Ahmad Dixon popping a big hit was Zumwalt.

A guy I am waiting to get to see the film for is James Morris.  His teammate, Chris Kirksey was impressive in Mobile, but on the junior tape, I was impressed with Morris as a player.  So, unless there was some regression that would be unexpected and unless Kirksey just flew by him, there is another Iowa linebacker sitting out there in relative anonymity at this point in the process that could be a nice linebacker at the next level.
