Jun 17, 2014; Green Bay, WI, USA; Green Bay Packers defensive tackle B.J. Raji (90) gets ready for the team

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Green Bay Packers are bringing back nose tackle B.J. Raji. The contract is one-year dealworth roughly $3.5 million and Raji can earn up to $4 million. Raji, missed all of last season after injuring his biceps during a preseason game against the Oakland Raiders.

This is another one-year, prove-it deal for Raji, who did the same thing with the Packers last year. Raji’s replacement last year, Letroy Guion, reportedly agreed to re-sign with Green Bay on Monday So it will be interesting to see what comes of the Packers’ nose tackle situation in 2015.

Guion played well in place of Raji last season in the regular season and playoffs. Bringing back both players ensures the Packers will have something at the nose with the uncertainty there. Raji  had the bicep injury but his play had declined some so the Packers need to see where he’s at.

Guion could be in some trouble after he was recently arrested for drug and firearm possession. So Raji gets another chance to prove his worth for a big contract at the conclusion of the season. The Packers will have to address the linebacker position in the draft for this to happen but if the Packers stop the run this year, Raji will get paid.

That’s because they might win the Super Bowl if they stop the run.
