2012 No. 3 Overall to Succeed with the Oakland Raiders

The Oakland Raiders have drafted well since 2013 after not having a pick until the third round in 2012. And now, here it is, three years later and they have signed the No. 3 overall pick in 2012. Running back Trent Richardson is the guy I’m speaking of and many wonder what he’s bringing.

When I first heard about it, I thought the Raiders just didn’t want to draft a backup for Latavius Murray. Then I heard later that it was an open competition, which didn’t change my thoughts at first. To me, Murray had done enough down the stretch in 2014 to become the man for the Raiders in 2015.

Then later on, Richardson talked like he was going to be the starter and I thought he was crazy at first. But after a while, I started examine it because surely, he wouldn’t just say that for nothing. And now, I can see the 2012 No. 3 overall’s point and he will win the job for the 2015 season.
