Jimmy Graham is the best pass-catching tight end in the NFL but Rob Gronkowski is the best tight end period. And going into the 2015 NFL Draft, it was out of Maxx Williams and Clive Walford for the media, the best tight end in the 2015 NFL Draft. Williams took home the Mackey Award for best tight end in college football and was taken before Walford.

But I really wanted to know who the best tight end in the 2015 NFL Draft is so I looked at some tape. And to avoid bias, I looked at some scouting reports and of course, I looked up both of their stats. In today’s passing, quarterback driven league, big, athletic men are required for the job as weapons

But the teams that make it to the Super Bowl run the ball so run-blocking is important too. You have move-tight ends and in-line tight ends but the very best in the league are just tight ends. You can move them or put them in-line as you wish and they will do whatever you need them to do.

So who’s the best at all of this?
