There was a lot of up and down seasons in the NFC North. The Green Bay Packers came into the season as the presumptive favorite and started the season very hot. The Detroit Lions started the season completely opposite: they started ice cold which got the front office and offensive coordinator fired midseason.

Fast forward to the end of the season and the Packers’ division title chances got flushed by a raft of key injuries, but they were able to win a wild card game and gave the Arizona Cardinals one of the most exciting finishes in playoff history.

The Lions ended up bouncing back and having a decent season only to see their franchise superstar, Calvin Johnson decide to retire shortly after the season ended.

The Bears dealt with injury after injury and finished 6-10. Their future is full of uncertainty with a number of players about to hit free agency and an offensive coordinator who left to coach the Miami Dolphins.

Through all this, the Minnesota Vikings somehow kept it together and upset the Packers on the final game of the regular season to win the division title. They saw heartbreak at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks in the wild card round, but they have something that they can build on.
