Indianapolis Colts select Ryan Kelly to help keep Andrew Luck upright.

Ryan Kelly is a great pick for the Indianapolis Colts. When you can’t get a quality tackle at this point of the draft then start in the center of the offensive line. Holmes is not who you want to roll with going into the 2016 season. Kelly is being compared to Ryan Kalil of the Carolina Panthers. Kelly did not let up a sack at Alabama and hopefully he can transition the same way as Travis Frederick of Dallas.

When I was watching the Colts last year the first thing I thought was they need to invest in picks or get offensive lineman in free agency. I think they did the right thing here in grabbing Kelly because I’m not sure he would have been around if they traded back. Kelly will be the leading the offensive line has been lacking since Jeff Saturday left. I admire the Colts that they held off on Myles Jack and Darron Lee because they sure could use the linebacker help with all their linebackers turning to dust before our eyes. Another route they could have went was with one of the talented 5 techniques left on the board. Either way you slice it, I think the Colts have found their center for the next 10 years.

The pick I would have went with: Ryan Kelly

The Colts still have plenty of work to do with the offensive line. Don’t be surprise if they use their 2nd round pick on another big-body.
