For months now, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady has been in battle with the NFL. There is still no resolution for Deflateagate after a couple of court appearances. The NFL won Round 1 as the court upheld the suspension for Brady deflating footballs past regulation.

Of course, Brady appealed and now, a full month after, another decision could come at any time. If it’s another denial, Brady has to decide  if it’s worth taking the case to the U.S. Supreme Court. If the appeal is granted, the suspension will be delayed indefinitely.

You’re only one play away so Brady could be done playing football by the time the final ruling is handed down. This is a matter that has passionate Patriots fans enraged as they would swear that Brady is above reproach. And among the most passionate of those fans is Ben Affleck.

Bill Simmons, also a Patriots fan, has a new HBO show called any given Wednesday and had Affleck on it. And in a rant, complete with profanity, something you can use on HBO, Affleck, from Boston, didn’t pull any punches, making it known exactly how he feels.

He also made a pitch as to why Brady didn’t give up his phone. Quoted on LA Times, he said, “Maybe Tom Brady’s so f–king classy and such a f–king gentleman that he doesn’t want people to know that he may have reflected on his real opinion of some of his coworkers.

“You know, like guys he plays with, guys he plays against. His real feelings. I wouldn’t want guys who I didn’t think were very good to know I didn’t think they were very good. I wouldn’t want guys who I thought were great to know I thought they were great.”

Excuse me for not buying that as the NFL wasn’t looking to make anything that didn’t pertain to the case public !
