Georgia’s Nick Chubb belongs on the radar for top running back prospects!

Right now, RB Leonard Fournette, the favorite for many to win the Heisman Trophy, is strongest on that radar.  In strong class of running backs, Stanford’s Christian McCaffrey and Florida State’s Dalvin Cook are also projected into first-round.

Until his season was cut short with a knee injury in 2015, Chubb looked like a future first-rounder himself. He was on all the Heisman Watch lists and his draft status for 2017 rivaled that of Fournette. But right now, not many have him projected into the first round.

A knee to a running back is like an arm for a quarterback. Once there’s a major injury to it, the prospect often goes from the front of the line to the back. A good thing for Chubb is that he has another year to run his way back into the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

From Adrian Peterson of the Minnesota Vikings to Todd Gurley of the Los Angeles Rams, running backs have come back from catastrophic knee injuries inside of a year lately. So Chubb should be on the radar of all Heisman Watches and the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
