The first-round picks of the 2016 Draft class are three preseason games in now!

After all they ‘ve been through to this point, it’s no wonder why so many hit that proverbial rookie wall. First-round picks and all, the 2016 Draft class has not had a break since their last games with their respective schools. Some of them went straight to Senior Bowl Week.

Those that didn’t, immediately started getting in shape for the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine. Then after that, they continue to work out to get ready for their respective Pro Days. Soon after the Pro Days comes the 2016 NFL Draft, where they find out what team they play for.

Right after that, it’s rookie minicamp, OTAs, and team minincamp. From there, they have to stay in shape for their first NFL training camp. Then they are physically tested by mature football players and mentally tested by coaches, teaching them a new system.

That in itself is enough to physically and-or mentally drain any young athlete. But that’s not even the beginning of it as they’ve played three of their four preseason games. And after that, there are 16 regular season game and of course, the hope is the playoffs and beyond.

Turn the page to see how each of these first-round picks are handling the grind so far.
