A huge trade was made in the NFL Saturday!

And it’s a huge trade for both the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings lost momentum when quarterback Teddy Bridgewater injured his knee. But they have regained that momentum with a quarterback with more arm talent.

In his only season with the Eagles, Sam Bradford threw for 3,725 yards and 19 TDs last season. It was the fourth-best single-season total in franchise history. So he’ll fit in well with Norv Turner’s downfield throwing system off of running back Adrian Peterson.

Speaking of Peterson, Bradford, the first overall selection in the 2010 draft, played with him at Oklahoma. When told of the trade before Saturday’s Oklahoma-Houston game, Peterson told ESPN, “I’m pumped!” The Vikings turned right back into Super Bowl contenders.

Meanwhile, the Eagles  get back the future they gave up to pick Wentz. The 2016 first, third and 4th-round picks the Eagles gave the Cleveland Browns are worth it. I thought the 1st-rounder in 2017 and the 2nd-rounder in 2018 for Wentz went too far.

But the Eagles have a chance to get that back with the huge trade they just made with the Vikings. It already has them back in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. But if the Vikings reach the NFC Championship game this season, the 4th-round pick in 2018 becomes a 3rd-round pick.

And if the Vikings win the Super Bowl, which is very possible, it becomes a 2nd-round pick. The Eagles, who love Wentz, can also start him at quarterback right away now. NFL.com reported that Wentz will start Week 1 if his broken ribs from the preseason heal fast enough.

So as the Vikings and the Eagles win in this trade, so do Bradford and Peterson.
