Mike Zimmner Won’t Admit to Sam Bradford Starting
Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer plans to start Sam Bradford at quarterback, right?
The Minnesota Vikings beat the Jacksonville jaguars last Sunday no thanks to quarterback Shaun Hill. Hill didn’t even lead the Vikings on a touchdown drive so there’s no way he starts this Sunday. The Vikings gave up a first-round pick plus for Sam Bradford too.
I’ve already written that it is a good trade that puts the Vikings back in contention. Bradford’s ability to throw the ball down the field makes the Vikings a better team once he learns the playbook. So he didn’t start for the Vikings in Week 1, days after the trade.
The Vikings won’t get two defensive TDs from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers Sunday. And if Hill didn’t lead a TD drive against the Tennessee Titans, let’s not talk about the Packers. Bradford will more likely to lead one with 10 percent of the playbook.
And according to Ian Rapoport, he has done a good job of picking the Vikings’ offense up. But Zimmer refuses to admit Bradford will start to anyone.
Per NFL.com, when asked if he knew who would start, Zimmer replied: “No comment. You’ll have to wait ’til Sunday.”
But that doesn’t matter because no one buys that, especially not Packers head coach Mike McCarthy. Per Chris Tomasson, he told reporters Wednesday in a conference call that he’s expecting Bradford to start. However, is preparing to face both quarterbacks.
Would Zimmer really go into that new stadium with Hill starting?
Nah, you don’t give up a first-round pick plus just to go into a new stadium with a guy like Hill. I
