Julio Jones is ready to go Sunday!

We’ve been looking forward to a shootout in the NFC Championship game between the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers. If we don’t get it, it won’t be because of the Falcons. It looks like star receiver Julio Jones will be playing without limitations.

His status for Sunday’s game was in question earlier in the week. He skipped practices while nursing a toe injury that nagged him down the stretch of the season. The injury forced the receiver to play under 60 percent of the snaps last week.

There was never a concern that Jones would miss the NFC Championship game. The concern was how much he plays and how effective will he be in the game. Falcons head coach Dan Quinn said Friday that Jones looked good in practice and will have no limitations on Sunday.

All the Falcons and their fans needed to hear is that Jones isn’t limited. Much of their high-flying offense is based on the things this superstar receiver can do. All quarterback Matt Ryan needed to hear is that his No. 1 receiver is playing period.

Ryan said per Twitter “He’s good at whatever percentage he is.” In their Week 8 win over the Packers, Jones was held to three receptions for 29 yards. However, Ryan still completed 28 of 35 passes for 288 yards, three touchdowns and a 129.5 passer rating.

Things are looking up for the Packers too as Davante Adams and Jordy Nelson missed practices. The Packers need at least one of them to play as the Packers were fine without Nelson last week. They put up 34 points on the Dallas Cowboys, who have a better defense than the Falcons.

But both Adams and Nelson have practiced this week so the Packers should have at least one of them. Ryan taking on the bad man they call Aaron Rodgers to go to the Super Bowl is must see.
