Every year there are players selected after the first round of the draft who end up becoming key contributors for their team. In Part 2 of this series, we will look at the players selected on Day 3 of the 2019 NFL draft who could have an immediate impact.

It seems like every year there are prospects taken after Round 1 in the NFL Draft who have an immediate impact as a starter, role player, special teams player, or some combination of those. Admittingly, most of the time these players are running backs with Kareem Hunt (Round 3), Phillip Lindsey (Undrafted), and Marlon Mack (Round 4) being a few recent examples.

Other recent examples of non-first-rounders to make an impact include De’Vondre Campbell (Round 4), Orlando Brown (Round 3), Donte Jackson (Round 2), and Jatavis Brown (Round 5).

Talent definitely plays a part in why these prospects have some unexpected impacts, but role and opportunity factor in as well.

While it gets harder to predict later in the draft, here are 10 Day-3  rookies (Rounds 4-7) who have a chance to have a big role, if not a couple of starts, by the end of the season.
