Bottom Line
For defense, the Raiders drafted the best rookie corner to go with the best rookie linebacker and best rookie nose tackle. As a matter of fact, Mack, the outside linebacker, is the best defensive rookie in the NFL period. For the offense, the Raiders drafted the best rookie quarterback and the best rookie guard to block for him.
So in eight picks, five of them are now starters and the best at their among all rookies in the NFL at their respective positions. So while losing all eight of their games this season, you have to say that they won the 2014 draft. It means nothing now but the future of the Raiders look really bright, especially if they continue draft the way they did this year.
Score one for McKenzie!
