Devin Funchess
With the 32nd and final pick in the first round of the NFL draft, the Denver Broncos select Devin Funchess from the Michigan Wolverines. At 6’5″, 230 pounds, Funchess has a receiver’s skill-set but can easily put on 10-15 pounds to play tight end. I don’t expect the Broncos to be able to keep Damaryius and Julius Thomas after the season so I expect Julius to be the one they allow to leave in free agency.
Getting a player like Funchess replenishes the loss of Julius as there’s no one in the 2015 draft that can replace Dameryius. You have to get better to repeat and losing players makes you worse so you have to take a player like Funchess to replace Thomas. It also doesn’t hurt the Funchess is the best player on the board when the Broncos are up to pick.
