College

While at the University of Georgia, Gurley would show that he’s everything you need in a running back. When a college kid looks like a man playing with boys, it usually means he’ll be good in the NFL. And Gurley looked just like that and it was in the smash-mouth SEC of all the college conferences.

When Gurley first set foot on campus, he was ready to get a good college career started right away. With all of the good backs that played there, he was the first true freshman at Georgia to rush for over 1,000 yards. He had 1,385 that year with 17 touchdowns while averaging 6.2 yards per carry.

He followed that up with 989 yards and six touchdowns despite missing a month of the season. Then last year, before the injury, he rushed for 911 yards and nine touchdowns in just six games. For his career, Gurly rushed for 3,285 yards, 36 touchdowns and 6.4 yards per carry in three years.
