2016 NFL Mock Draft: NFC West
By jonfox
St. Louis Rams
1. Laquon Treadwell, WR Ole Miss
2. Vonn Bell, S Ohio State
2(from Philadelphia). Brandon Doughty, QB Western Kentucky
The Rams’ leadership should be flushed for all the questionable moves that they’ve made of late. Yes, Gurley is a star in the making but more often than not they’ve swung and missed on their decisions.Treadwell, Bell and Doughty is a cost-effective way to try and fix the 3 biggest holes on the team. Doughty is a prospect that is flying under the radar, but won’t for much longer.
The Rams have to admit that they’re in rebuilding mode. If they think that they’re “just a player away” then they’ll be stuck in the 5-8 win range for a long time.
Seattle Seahawks
1. Cody Whitehair, OL Kansas State
2. Kyle Murphy, OL Stanford
3. Austin Johnson, DT Penn State
Not to beat a theme into the ground, but the Hawks need to focus on their lines. Especially the offensive line. There’s only been 1 game this year where Wilson hasn’t been sacked and is averaging 3.4 sacks taken per game.Whitehair and Murphy are both nasty, mean blockers with good size for their respective positions. Whitehair should slot in immediately at right guard and Murphy is more natural next to him at right tackle.Johnson is depth for a defensive line which always needs constant replenishment. Good size and skills. There’s just concerns about his motor.
