Josh Doctson. 30. player. 87.
What Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton has done with his non-descript receiver corps is amazing. The one star receiver he did have, Kelvin Benjamin, tore his ACL in training camp. So you can take what Newton did this year and go ahead and give him the 2015 NFL MVP award.

No player in the NFL, especially not a quarterback, did as much to lift their respecitve teams to the level Newton did. Of course, he did benefit from having the NFL’s No. 6 overall-ranked defense. but in the Super Bowl, he’ll be playing against the NFL’s No. 1 defense and I believe he’ll come up short.

But next year is another year and he gets Benjamin back healty along with running back Jonathan Steward. Newton was also protected pretty well as left tackle Michael Oher had a good year in pass-protection. So having a receiver to play on the other side of Benajamin would be a good look for Newton.

That’s why at No. 30 overall, the Panthers will select receiver Josh Doctson to go with Benjamin. Doctson is another deep so defenses will have two to deal with, leaving them in cover-2. That leaves the running game open as well as the seam with tight end Greg Olsen.
. WR. TCU
