player. 51.
The Los Angeles Rams have a good team that only needs a quarterback to get them out of mediocrity. So they have to get one now as they go back to Los Angeles, where mediocrity isn’t tolerated. The Rams gave up a whole lot in the trade so you gotta believe it was for a guy that’s ready to win now.

Jared Goff is the most pro ready while a lot of Carson Wentz’ upside everyone is talking about is mythical. Wentz has 20 pounds on Goff to absorb NFL hits but Goff is the one that didn’t miss a in college. Wentz’ arm strength advantage is overrated as Goff throws the better deep ball, connecting on 50 percent of them to 38 percent for Wentz.

Then they make so much of Wentz athleticism with just a .05 faster 40 time than Goff. But Goff has pocket presence and escapes pressure better while having an accuracy percentage of 65 on passes under pressure to 57 for Wentz. There’s also a myth that Goff doesn’t make adjustments at the line, instead looking over at his coach to make them.

But in the California’s Bear Raid Offense, Goff has plenty of control and there are pro concepts in the offense. Putting Wentz under the type of pressure both physically and mentally in LA is quarterback suicide. Plus Goff goes through his progressions much quicker and he’s so more polished so Goff goes first.
. QB. California. Jared Goff. 1
