Latavius Murray

The addition to Osemele to the offensive line will make the Raiders a much better run-blocking offensive line. That means 2015 Pro Bowl running back Latavius Murray will have a big year in 2016. Murray is coming off a breakout season in which he rushed for 1,066 yards.

Murray has excellent vision and 4.3 40 speed to go with his 6’3″, 230-pound frame. Making defenders miss, breaking tackles, and driving for extra yardage are things Murray has mightily improved on. So the second-year starter is a good bet to improve even more in those areas.

DeAndre Washington, who was drafted in the fifth round this offseason, is a great receiver out of the backfield. Washington will compete for the lead role but as of right now, he’s the third-down back with Murray getting the Lion’s share of the carries in the running game.

With the offensive line the Raiders now have with OC Bill Musgrave and HC Jack Del Rio loving to play smash-mouth football, either on of them can have a big year. But again, Murray is the guy as of now so we can expect somewhere around 1,300-1,400 yards for him in 2016.
