Withthefirstpick 2017 In-Season Weekly Mock Draft: Week 3
So the Browns go with cornerback Tre’Davious White from LSU because he’s the best player at a need. Veteran cornerback Joe Haden appears to be back to form but they badly need someone on the other side. They got some young pass rushers in the 2016 NFL Draft so some coverage behind them is a good idea.
The quarterbacks in the AFC North are good so making life difficult for them is a must. Jackson is a quarterback whisperer so we should expect Kaaya to play well and the offense to roll. So with this pick tightening the coverage up, the Browns will then be on the way up.

When the trade was first made for quarterback Carson Wentz, I thought the Philadelphia Eagles were rebuilding. So the Browns looked like they would make out like bandits, getting two high first-round picks in 2017. But head coach Doug Pederson, quarterback Carson Wentz and the defense have changed things.
That leaves the Browns making the second of their first-round picks all the way down at No. 29 overall. The Browns could go a number of ways after getting their franchise quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick. I would say right tackle and cornerback are the Browns’ most glaring needs at this point.
