Notre Dame. Deshone Kizer. 3. player. 42. Quarterback Colin Kaepernick doesn’t look line he’s going to make it as the San Francisco 49ers’ quarterback. It doesn’t look like head coach Chip Kelly and his Spread Offense will stay either. The NFL seems to have caught up with the system and with Kaepernick.
Once inside linebacker Navarro Bowman returns next year, all the defense will need is an EDGE. And on offense, they still need a QB and WR to get their passing game off. Of course, it all starts with the quarterback so that’s what the 49ers draft here at No. 2 ovearall.

I don’t see Kelly or Kaepernick with the 49ers at the start of next year. If Kelly does remain, GM Trent Baalke isn’t going to let him decide anything. So instead of drafting a Spread Offense quarterback, the 49ers get a quarterback that can fit in any system.

DeShone Kizer comes from a pro style offene that also rus some Spread plays. So he’ll be just fine with pro Xs and Os and physcially, he can do what pro QBs do. So the 49ers will have their quarterback, no matter what type of system they decide to run.
. QB
