15. Arizona Cardinals -4-4-1
Chandler Catanzaro kicked a 34-yard field goal with seconds left to give the Cardinals a 23-20 victory over the San Francisco 49ers. Catanzaro has had some trouble kicking field goals this season, missing two game winners earlier in the season.
The Cardinals found themselves in an offensive battle with the 49ers. Carson Palmer went 30-of-49 for 376 yards , one touchdown and two interceptions. Larry Fitzgerald grabbed 12 receptions for 133 yards. Fitzgerald became the 12th wide receiver in NFL history to reach 14,000 passing yards during this game.
David Johnson had only 55 yards, against a defense that is ranked last in rushing yards. Michael Floyd grabbed five receptions for 101 yards. The Cardinals offense jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the second quarter before giving up 10 points.
The defense had trouble containing Colin Kaepernick. They sacked Kaepernick three times but caused no turnovers. This win keeps the Cardinals in the running for the NFC West. They are only two games out of first place.
This week, they play the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings have lost four straight games since starting undefeated. The Cardinals need to get their run game going and Palmer needs to limit his mistakes to win.
