player. 10. Former Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes has more upside than any QB in this draft. But despite throwing for 5,052 yards, 41 TDs, and 10 INTs, he didn’t create much buzz until this offseason. At 6’2″, 220 pounds, he has the big arm and he’s pretty athletic to go with it.

He started to pick up steam at the combine as the out-threw every QB prospect that was there. He had accuracy, timing, a quick release and all the velocity the WRs catching the ball could handle. He would continue the buzz when Texas Tech had it’s Pro Day not long ago.

Again, he showed his accuracy, timing and a quick release throughout his throwing session. Then at the end of it, just to show off, he let one loose and it traveled 80 yards in the air. The Houston Texans might want to keep Mahomes in Texas to address their QB issues.

Mahomes has some things to clean up and isn’t ready to play yet but no QB in this class is. So you might as well go for the one that has the most upside and Mahomes is that guy. Sit him for a year behind Tom Savage and they have a dynamic QB for the future.
. QB. Texas Tech. Patrick Mahomes. 25
