S. LSU. Jamal Adams. 5. player. 35. Former LSU S Jamal Adams is one of those do-it-all Ss you see popping up in today’s game. At 6’0″, 215 pounds and very physical, he can easily be a fourth or fifth LB in the box. He blitzes off the edge well and has no problems covering the slot one on one.

He’s even been seen outside on the island, covering WRs one on one and getting it done. And of course, he has the instincts and range to play deep half or single-high S. He’ll go in and improve the secondary he joins from the day he walks into the building.

The Tennessee Titans had a pretty good defense last year but gave up too many big pass plays. They stopped the run and got after the passer so this was the defense’s lone weakness. In free agency, they brought in CB Logan Ryan and S Jonathan Cyprien to improve things.

A guy like Adams with all the different things he can do would improve things even more. DC Dick LeBeau once had Troy Polamalu with the Steelers and may use him in a similar way. Either way, this is good use of the pick they got from the Rams in last year’s trade..
