CB. Ohio State. Marshon Lattimore. 6. player. 30. Marshon Lattimore is the next shutdown CB that will follow the opponent’s best WR. At 6’0″, 193 pounds with 31 1/4-inch-long arms, he has has the size and length for press coverage. He has the feet and hips to play off coverage and the instincts to jump a route in zone coverage too.
You’re not going to ask a guy like Lattimore to play too much zone but he can do whatever. Running a 4.36 40, he has makeup speed and with a 38-inch vertical leap, he can defend the jumpball. He’s going to go in and have a big, immediate impact on the team that picks him.

New York Jets HC Todd Bowles loves to blitz all day and play man coverage behind it. And he just released one of the greatest press-man-coverage CBs of his generation in Darrelle Revis. So Lattimore can fill in for Revis, allowing the Jets to keep playing that style of defense,

They get plenty of pressure on opposing QBs so Lattimore would be going into a great situation. The Jets just signed veteran QB Josh McCown but I expect Christian Hackenberg to take over. It’s going to be interesting to see how they do in rebuild mode in 2017.
