87. Dalvin Cook is the best and most skilled RB coming out in the 2017 NFL Draft. Yes, he’s more skilled than Fournette but Fournette is more of a fit for what Coughlin wants to do. Cook has great vision and patience and in the open field, he’ll make a defender look stupid.
And as he confirmed at his Pro Day with a 4.44 40, he has the speed to hit the home run. Cook is more than just a threat out of the backfield too as he also showed at his Pro Day. He has good hands and runs good routes, making him quite the weapon in the passing game.

At 5’10”, 210, he has decent size but has some work to do against blitzers in pass protection. But he’s good in the red zone so you can call him a bell-cow that doesn’t have to leave the field. Cook is also scheme-versatile, able to excel in the power scheme and the zone scheme.

The Panthers need such a player because they can’t have QB Cam Newton continue to lead the team in rushing. Their defense started to pick it up last year and has ageless Julius Peppers coming. The defense and running game is what was lacking last year so they’re in good shape of 2017.
. RB.
