player. 15. Former Stanford DE Solomon Thomas was always looked at as a solid NFL prospect. But it wasn’t until the offseason that he became a consensus top-10 pick with his impressive workouts. At 6’3″, 273 pounds, he ran a 4.69 40 and a 6.95 3-cone drill at the combine.

And to go with that freaky speed and quickness, he showed, he’s strong, benching 225 30 times. That combination of speed, power and agility is consistently on display on his tape. It’s hard to figure out what he’ll do because he can win with that speed, power or agility.

He can beat you around the corner, put a wicked spin move on you, or bull rush you. He’s also good with his hands, slapping and chopping at the hands and wrists of opposing OTs. Thomas plays the run well too and the New Orleans Saints can use all of the above from him.

They’ve added in free agency and I believe they’ll get CB Malcolm Butler from the New England Patriots. So while he’s in coverage Solomon be a nightmare for an opposing left OT in that rockin’ Superdome. The Saints would then have a chance in an NFC South that’s getting better.
. DE. Stanford.
