30. Marshon Lattimore is going to be a lockdown CB as soon as he gets into the NFL. He’s 6’0″, 193 pounds, has 31 1/4-inch-long arms and uses them to get physical at the line of scrimmage. Lattimore also has great feet, hips and fluidity to mirror WRs, staying in their back pockets at all times.

Athletically, he is supremely gifted, running a 4.36 40 and posting a 38.5-inch vertical leap at the combine. So he has plenty of makeup speed for when he’s beaten and can go up to defend a jump ball. According to Pro Football Focus, Lattimore allowed a passer rating of just 30.2 into his coverage.

And of the 12 times he was tested on go routes, he only allowed two of them to be caught. He’s also a sure tackler, not missing on any solo tackles he attempted, making 37 of them. The Jets just let go of Darrelle Revis so they have to replace him with the same type of player.

HC Todd Bowles lives by the blitz so he needs man-to-man, bump-and-run coverage outside. The Jets have a solid front-seven, which should allow Lattimore to help them immediately. If QB Christian Hackenberg can handle his first year as a starter, the Jets should improve immensely.
. CB. Ohio State. Marshon Lattimore. 6. player
