Solomon Thomas. 11. player. 15. New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees isn’t showing any signs of slowing down in his production these days. So we can count on the offense to be explosive for the 2017 season. Their trouble is on the defensive side of the ball, where they don’t hold onto leads very well.
The Saints defense doesn’t stop the run, get after opposing QBs or cover WRs very well. They haven’t given up on ILB Stephone Anthony and brought in Manti Te’o this offseason to help against the run. And at some point this offseason, CB Malcolm Butler will become a Saint.

They just need to add to a D-line that already has Cameron Jordan and Nick Fairley on it. When Sheldon Rankins started to play last year, they got after the QB a little better. But they will have to do even better this year so Solomon Thomas is the guy to draft here.

His freaky combination of speed and power along with his technique and motor will make an immediate impact. It’s going to be hard to block him on that edge with the Superdome being so loud. The Saints can easily get back in the playoffs with Thomas helping the defense.
. DE. Stanford
