USC. Adoree Jackson. 28. player. 123. With the No. 28 overall pick in the draft, the Dallas Cowboys take former USC CB Adoree Jackson. Jackson is as athletically gifted a football player as there is in this draft. He only ran a 4.42 in the 40 at the combine but at USC, he caught guys from behind that run that fast.
On the field, he has that super elite level speed that he makes plays with. The track athlete will now focus on football, clean up his technique and be an even better football player. I’ve seen him sag off of his man to bait the QB to throw the ball his way ala Deion Sanders.

Then once the ball is in the air, he runs under it and uses his ball skills to get the INT. Speaking of Sanders, he may walk in his shoes as a part-time offensive player as well. Also like Sanders, Jackson offers even more value as a flashy return man that can take one to the house.

Owner Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys love flash and are badly in need of CBs now. They let darn-near all their CBs go in free agency this offseason so it’s time to replenish the position. I have Ross in Washington so the rivalry that started in college would continue into the NFL.
. CB
