Colorado. Chidobe Awuzie. 29. player. 49. With the No. 29 overall pick in the draft, the Green Bay Packers select former Colorado CB Chidobe Awuzie. Awuzie is well taught as former All-Pro CB Nnamdi Asomugha is a family friend. You can see it as he uses his 6’0″, 202-pound frame to disrupt the timing of opposing WRs.
He’s also fluid and controlled with easy change of direction, allowing him to mirror from press. Awuzie’s feet and hips allow him to shift in all directions and stay with shifty slot receivers. He answered all questions about his makeup speed by running a 4.43 in the 40 as well.
<div class=. And for those rare times the Packers are in zone coverage, Awuzie has the instincts to break on one. The Packers should sprint to the podium to get Chidobe if he’s available at No. 29 overall. The Packers’ secondary got scorched with big plays all year so they need help there.

Aaron Rodgers was amazing last year, turning a non-playoff year into a playoff year with his play. But his lack of help from the defense, particularly the secondary, made it impossible for him to take the Packers further. If they can straighten the secondary up, they can get to the Super Bowl.

55. With the No. 30 overall pick in the draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers select former Michigan S Jabrill Peppers. Peppers didn’t get a fair shake from the media early on because he played ILB, not the best position for him. So he was marked down for not having the type of season his talent would suggest.
But if you look at his tape at S, he’s as good as anyone as he has all kinds of versatility. He can play in the box at SS, cover the slot and bring the heat off the edge to opposing QBs.. Peppers could probably play single high S with the speed and range he has, running a 4.46 40 at the combine.

The Steelers definitely have room for a SS with that type of talent on their defense. They haven’t had a player at that position on that talent level since Troy Polamalu retired a few years ago. Peppers’ diluted urine sample at the combine will probably be what has him on the board here at No. 30.

The Steelers are Super Bowl-ready when it comes to the offensive side of the ball. QB Ben Roethlisberger, WR Antonio Brown, RB Le’Veon Bell and company make up an explosive offense. Peppers will help the defense catch up, making the Steelers even more of a Super Bowl contender in 2017..
. S. Michigan. Jabrill Peppers. 30. player
