25. Houston Texans- Texas Tech QB Patrick Mahomes

Offensively: 29th Yds/G, 29th PPG

Defensively: 1st Yds/G, 11th PPG

Team Needs: QB, G, N, OLB, S

The Texans find their quarterback with the 25th pick. Unfortunately, what I see in Mahomes is a guy will a rocket arm, good accuracy, but make some real dumb decisions on occasion. Patrick Mahomes is basically a cheaper version of Jay Cutler but also a version in which Jay Cutler was actually cared and had a competitive bone in his body.

Mahomes will put the Texans in some bad situations at first but will ultimately be able to do the job that they thought Brock Osweiler would have been able to do when they signed him last season.

NFL Comparison: Free Agent Quarterback Jay Cutler
