Prediction: Alabama’s Marlon Humphrey comes off the board earlier than expected.

Marlon Humphrey is a highly-touted cornerback prospect who brings a nice blend of size and speed. He has the quickness to keep pace with faster receivers and the size to handle the bigger targets. His measurables are one of the reasons why his in the 1st round mix.

More from With the First Pick

Humphrey’s stock has gotten a bit of a boost from a few developments during the draft season. The first domino was Jalen Tabor having a disastrous Combine. Next, Sidney Jones tore his Achilles tendon during his pro-day. The latest development is the legal trouble of Gareon Conley.

Each of those prospects were ranked ahead of Humphrey on my Big Board at some point in the process. It helps that he’s a pretty clean prospect with no off-field or injury issues. His athletic profile also matches what NFL teams are looking for at the position.

Humphrey’s landing spots probably start at No. 10 overall with the Buffalo Bills. The other teams in the mix are the New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens.

It’s even possible that some teams have him rated as their top cornerback prospect ahead of Ohio State’s Marshon Lattimore. The knock on Lattimore surrounds his lack of experience and history of hamstring issues.
