15. The 2017 NFL Draft was set up for a team like the New Orleans Saints to have big-time haul. They have an explosive offense already while most of the better players in this draft are on defense. So the Saints took advantage, starting at No. 11 overall with CB Marshon Lattimore, the consensus No. 1 CB.
I have a different No. 1 CB but this is the consensus guy and the Saints are happy to have him. Then at No. 32 overall, they got good value in Ryan Ramczyk to eventually replace 33-year-old Zach Strief. In the second round, the Saints had three picks and the first one was S Marcus Williams.

With their first of three third-round picks, HC Sean Payton couldn’t help himself, taking RB Alvin Kamara. With their second third-round pick the Saints took DE Trey Hendrickson, who can get after the QB. Then with their third third-round pick, the Saints took LB underrated Alex Anzalone.

Lattimore, Williams, Hendrickson and Anzalone will help DE Cameron Jordan turn the defense around. Kamara will be a scat-back, Ramczyk will wait his turn and be depth along with sixth-round DE Al-Quadin Muhammad. The Saints will have a chance in the NFC South with the additions they just made.
. — A. . new orleans saints. 11. team
