minnesota vikings. 14. team. 60. The Minnesota Vikings went into the draft with a great defense already, needing offensive help. That actually wasn’t a bad situation because the Vikings didn’t have a first-round pick. With such a talented defensive draft, an offensive player was sure to fall to the second round for the Vikings.
The great Adrian Peterson has moved on to the Saints after getting released this offseason. And Latavius Murray really isn’t that guy so the Vikings were happy to see Dalvin Cook in the second round. The in the third round, they got C Pat Elflein so Joe Berger can move back to right OG.
<div class=. — A.

The Vikings O-line has gotten smaller over the years for zone blocking, a scheme Cook fits. The team added left OT Riley Reiff in free agency to help protect QB Sam Bradford better. Reiff isn’t exactly a franchise left tackle but he’s much better than T.J. Clemmings who was a turnstile last year.

Having Cook in the backfield behind Bradford and a better O-line makes this offense much better. Cook will also help WRs Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen and TE Kyle Rudolph help Bradford in the passing game. This NFC North division is becoming a tougher division every year.
