2018 NFL Mock Draft: Early June Edition
By Jon Dove
9. Arizona Cardinals- Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State
The more I watch of Mason Rudolph the more I like about his game. He’s more polished than he’s given credit for and can really sling the football. His combination of size, arm strength and athleticism make him a high-upside prospect.

Rudolph shows good poise in the pocket while he scans the field. He loves to attack the deep part of the field where he throws an accurate deep ball. His attributes are exactly what Arizona Cardinals head coach, Bruce Arians, looks for in a quarterback.
The Cardinals really need to find a young quarterback to develop. Carson Palmer is on the last stretch of his career. His play recently has declined which creates some urgency for the Cardinals.
It’s not out of the question that the Cardinals could need a new starter as early as next year. Rudolph has the traits to make a quick transition to the NFL and be an immediate starter. However, the ideal situation would be for him to sit behind Palmer for a year.
Arizona has several other needs which means they could look to upgrade the secondary, defensive line or wide receiver position.
