2018 NFL Mock Draft: Opening Weekend Edition
By Jon Dove
16. Minnesota Vikings- Derrick Nnadi, DT, Florida State
Derrick Nnadi is a versatile defensive tackle prospect who can hold up against the run and create some pressure. He plays with a low center of gravity which allows him to maintain leverage. Blockers have an extremely hard time getting under his pads and moving him off the line.

Nnadi also features a strong upper body and heavy hands. He fights to gain inside hand placement and then has the power needed to disengage. This is a defensive tackle who won’t just occupy space but also make tackles.
His pass rushing skills haven’t shown up much at Florida State. However, he is capable of pushing the pocket with a bull rush. Nnadi also flashes the quickness needed to shoot the gap and get after the quarterback.
The Minnesota Vikings could use some depth along the interior of their defensive line. They have struggled to overcome Shariff Floyd’s absence in the lineup.
Minnesota could also continue to rework their offensive line. They spent a ton of money in the offseason to fix the unit but only time will tell if those moves will work out. This could be a landing spot for someone like Notre Dame’s Mike McGlinchey.
