Wide Receiver: Tyler Johnson, Sr., Minnesota

Tyler Johnson is the first player on this list who wasn’t highly recruited out of high school. As a 3-star player out of Minnesota, his biggest offers came from the likes of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Iowa, and Iowa St. He has an excellent size-speed-athleticism combination that allows him to make a lot of contested catches while still being a terror after the catch.

Johnson has steadily become a bigger part of the offense each year under Head Coach PJ Fleck culminating in 2018 when he registered 78 catches, 1,169 yards, and 12 touchdowns. He did experience some problems with drops early the season but improved as the year went on.

Not many people know about Tyler Johnson since he plays at Minnesota and doesn’t get much exposure on national television. If he can continue to improve on his drop issues, expect his name to be mentioned among the first-round wide receivers.
