One OT per first four rounds of 2020 NFL Draft for Browns to pursue

Another offensive tackle with tantalizing athletic traits who needs a bit of fine tuning to his mechanics is University of Connecticut’s Matt Peart. There may not be a tackle in the 2020 NFL Draft with better measurables than Peart either, who measured in at the combine at 6-foot-6.5, 318 pounds, and with astoundingly long arms at over 36 and a half inches. Peart was built to be a professional offensive tackle.
The issue with Peart, however, is that he does not handle power very well off the edge, as his anchor strength tends to be on the weaker end of the spectrum. However with a frame like Peart’s, there is seemingly room to add more weight to counteract the power coming his direction at the next level.
UConn does not put out NFL talent with frequency, but Peart looks to join the ranks of his Husky counterparts such as Byron Jones at the next level. Peart may very well be a top-60 pick in the draft and not even slip into the third round, however, as teams love to reach on players with outstanding physical gifts as Peart has.
After a solid Senior Bowl and an excellent combine, Peart’s draft stock is ticking in the right direction.
