DeeJay Dallas, RB, Seattle Seahawks

The Seahawks investing in the running back position is hardly a surprise. Few teams in the NFL value the running game as much as Seattle does.

That is to the continual frustration of fans and observers who want the Seahawks to put the game in the hands of their elite quarterback Russell Wilson. However, it also makes Seattle an excellent fit for ex-Miami tailback Dallas.

Patient and slippery, Dallas is a finisher with burst that allowed him to accelerate into contact and pick up extra yardage while excelling as a running back and wide receiver for the Hurricanes.

If Seattle having a powerful but elusive runner sounds familiar, it is because that is what the Seahawks possess in Chris Carson.

Carson, though, has had his injury issues and is heading into the final year of his contract. With former first-round pick Rashaad Penny also on the roster, re-signing Carson in 2021 makes little sense.

The likelihood is that Dallas can look forward to a timeshare with Penny in 2021, but his abilities as a pass-catcher could help him see decent snaps as a rookie and make him an even more valuable proposition for dynasty managers looking for more depth in their backfields.
