Pick Analysis. TCU. Sewo Olonilua. 1. player. Scouting Report. RB. 872

A big, athletic running back

TCU had two running backs in the 2020 NFL Draft, as Darius Anderson and Sewo Olonilua split the carries for the Horned Frogs last season. The Cowboys actually landed both prospects, but it is Sewo Olonilua who gets the nod to land a roster spot.

The Cowboys usually tend to roster a bigger, but athletic running back to back up Ezekiel Elliott. In the past, they have stashed Rod Smith and Alfred Morris. Given Olonilua’s versatility and gifted athletic ability, he has a real chance to take the third roster spot on the depth chart at the running back position on America’s team.

At a big 6-2 and a half and 232 pounds, Olonilua still managed to post solid testing numbers at the combine in February. He hit 25 reps on the bench press, ran a 4.66 40 yard dash, and tested in the top half percentile wise in the vertical jump, broad jump, and short shuttle.

Every year of his careers, Olonilua never saw an average amount of carries, but always averaged over four yards per touch. He ended his collegiate career on a high note where he tallied 537 yards and eight touchdowns, averaging four yards per carry on the dot.

He caught and additional 24 passes out of the backfield, displaying a great deal of ability out of the backfield. He could make a run at a roster spot when cut downs happen at the end of training camp.
