Florida Football has a top 2021 NFL Draft prospect in Kyle Pitts

This past year, the Florida Football program saw names such as Van Jefferson, Lamical Perine, Jabari Zuniga, Jonathan Greenard, and more hear their names called in the 2020 NFL Draft. Heading into next season, tight end Kyle Pitts looks to be a front runner at his position in the 2021 NFL Draft.

The 2020 draft, now over a month in the past, did not feature a strong crop of tight ends, as the first one did not come off the board until the midway point of the second round in Notre Dame’s Cole Kmet. While a few more came off the board in day-two of the draft, most did not hear their name called until the final day of the draft.

The 2021 crop already looks vastly superior, as at first glance, the top three tight ends in this class more than likely would have been the top three in 2020 as well. Penn State’s Pat Freiermuth and Miami’s Brevin Jordan join Pitts at the preliminary top of the class; here, however, Pitts is the main focus.

As the summer is just beginning, we work through the watchlist of tight ends, starting with the Florida football man himself, Kyle Pitts. Here is an in-depth scouting report as the offseason is beginning to open back up and ramp up towards football in the fall.
