Here are 5 rookie NFL camp battles to watch and predictions

The grass is green, the sun is shining, the air is humid, and we’re inching ever so slowly towards NFL training camp (please let us this be true COVID-19)….very slowly. We’re less than two months away from the expected start date of NFL training camps, and facilities are opening up at a snail’s pace. We’re coming off an electric period of free agency followed by one of the most highly anticipated NFL Drafts ever given the current circumstances of our global pandemic.

This will undoubtedly be one of the most unique and interesting training camps ever, especially for this rookie class. There were no rookie mini-camps, no organized team activities; these players are solely relying on Zoom meetings and personal training programs going into their first NFL season. Conceivably, it will be these rookies first times putting on the pads and interacting with their new teammates and coaching staff at training camp.

The circumstances are certainly not ideal, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be a shortage in position battles and competition. Football is football and competition will always be prevalent throughout the NFL during training camp. Here are five offensive training camp battles with rookies to watch out for:
