The Rams and Chargers will jointly feature on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’
Just three years ago, the city of Los Angeles did not have a football team to call their own. Since then, the St. Louis Rams moved to LA, with the San Diego Chargers following suit just one year later. Announced today, both of these teams will now jointly feature on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks.’
An interesting storyline to follow, both teams led by Sean McVay and Anthony Lynn respectively, have gone through a great deal of a face lift this offseason after failing to make the playoffs. As both teams look to rebound in 2020, their internal affairs will now be aired on public television for all of our consumption.
The Chargers let their longtime franchise quarterback in Phillip Rivers walk this offseason, signing with the Indianapolis Colts. Now, they will rely on journeyman bridge quarterback Tyrod Taylor to lead them in 2020, with sixth-overall pick Justin Herbert given the chance to compete.
Finding themselves strapped cash-wise, the Rams had to make some financially tough decisions. This led to the decision to part with running back Todd Gurley, wide receiver Brandin Cooks, and cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman among others.
As these two teams look to improve, which rookies will be the most fun to watch on public television this summer as the city of Los Angeles takes to ‘Hard Knocks’?
