DeeJay Dallas, RB, Seattle Seahawks

One of this writer’s personal favorite sleeper picks of the 2020 NFL Draft and a potential long term fantasy asset dynasty leagues is former Miami running back DeeJay Dallas. Selected in the fourth round of the draft last April by the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas enters a clouded running back room in the Pacific Northwest.

With Chris Carson, Rashaad Penny, and Travis Homer already on the roster in Seattle, the Seahawks also signed veteran running back Carlos Hyde in free agency as well. However as training camp has rolled along, Dallas has stood out in the same areas he did in college: as a receiver out of the backfield and in pass protection.

The latter of those two is a sure way to win the hearts of the coaching staff over, which is what Dallas is doing in Seattle. Carson is entering the last year of his contract with the Seahawks and has a fumble problem, Penny has not won a heavy workload since being selected as a first round pick, and Hyde is likely a one-year rental.

Should Dallas keep it up, he could be in the position to take over the lion’s share of the carries in Seattle in 2021 due to his physicality and versatility.
