Here are three 2021 NFL Draft prospects to watch in TCU vs. Texas

Today at noon, the Horned Frogs and Longhorns face off in a BIG 12 bout that is bound to feature a good number of 2021 NFL Draft prospects. Texas comes into the game 2-0 and ranked number nine in the nation while TCU is still feeling the sting of losing a close game to Iowa State the previous week. For TCU to win today, they need to sophomore quarterback Max Duggan to shine vs. the Longhorns’ secondary, and replicate the success he had vs the Cyclones the week before.

For Texas to win, the Longhorns need for quarterback Sam Ehlinger to make better decisions with the football. Last year, Ehlinger threw four interceptions vs the Horned Frogs in a 37-27 loss that sent the Longhorns to 5-3. Texas may have to rely on their run game early on in the game to avoid any potential turnovers.

Both teams boast some intriguing 2021 NFL Draft talent, with most of the highly touted prospects on the defensive side of the ball. But before we go any further, here are two prospects worthy of an honorable mention.

Honorable Mentions

Joseph Ossai – EDGE – Texas

One of two athletic linebackers for the Longhorns, Joseph Ossai has received some hype from media scouts over the summer. Possessing raw tools for further growth, Ossai is a quick footed linebacker who good tackling prowess and ability to put pressure on the quarterback.

Trevor Moehrig – SAF – TCU

Our second honorable mention, Trevor Moehrig, is also apart of a deadly duo. Moehrig is a big bodied safety who shines in coverage with tight ends and running backs, and will come up to hit if he needs to.
