A Wild Card weekend 2021 NFL Mock Draft is in order

One week of the playoffs down, three to go; what a wild Wild Card weekend it was as the formerly 11-0 Pittsburgh Steelers fell to the Cleveland Browns in the first round. As the aging Steelers look to get younger, they will need to nail all of their picks in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft.

On top of the Browns’ first playoff victory since 1994, the Baltimore Ravens and Buffalo Bills advanced from the AFC as well. On the NFC side of things, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set for round three with the New Orleans Saints, while Los Angeles Rams will look to take down the Green Bay Packers after upsetting the Seattle Seahawks.

We are down to eight teams, which means 24 picks have been finalized in the 2021 NFL Draft. What better time for a full three-round mock draft?

1. Jacksonville Jaguars: Trevor Lawrence, QB, Clemson

It is official. Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is off to the NFL, and he will not have to wait long at all to hear his name called. In fact, he will not have to wait past the first overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft to find a new home as he goes to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

A wrench could be thrown into this should former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer land in Jacksonville, even though he never coached Justin Fields. However, for here, the status quo is reached as Lawrence remains atop the draft board.

2. New York Jets: Justin Fields, QB, Ohio State

Justin Fields will look to continue his legacy tonight as he and the Ohio State Buckeyes look to upset the Alabama Crimson Tide for their first national title since 2014. Coming off the best game of an already stellar career in Columbus, Ohio, Fields will look to further solidify his draft stock. As the New York Jets shift their culture away from that of former head coach Adam Gase, a new name under center is their future as well.

Fields has immense physical tools to become an elite superstar at the next level. From his arm talent, to the best mobility in the class, Fields has elements to his game that cannot be taught. From central Ohio to the Big Apple, Justin Fields is on the move.
