After back-to-back 13-3 seasons abruptly ending in the NFC Conference Championship game, the Green Bay Packers have to take a look in the mirror and decide which option they want to move forward with. Do you go all in and try and win a championship with Aaron Rodgers? Or do you trade Rodgers, put your trust in Jordan Love and see if you can reload on the fly?
While these questions are media driven, the answer should be obvious: Sticking with Rodgers is 100 percent the way they should move forward. Packers fans have been blessed in quarterback play for almost the past 30 years, going from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers. This is not to say that Jordan Love will not be a good quarterbacks, but it is Aaron Rodgers we are talking about here! If Rodgers is healthy and on your team, you have a very good chance of winning the game.
Packers must build around Aaron Rodgers
With that (rather easy) decision wrapped up, it is now time to focus on improving the team around Rodgers. Many will mention his lack of WR options and pound the table to get him more help. Others will point to the other side of the ball, where the Packers recently let defensive coordinator Mike Pettine walk with a new contract.
Brian Gutekunst has shown that he can be aggressive in free agency, while taking some risks during the draft. Gute has a chance to significant upgrade both his wide receiver room as well as the defense. What kind of talent can they land as the 2021 NFL Draft approaches?
